A suit alleging that Charlotte’s Web Holdings Inc. improperly marketed cannabidiol products as approved dietary supplements has been voluntarily dismissed, according to a filing in federal court in California.
Michele McCarthy dismissed the proposed class suit without prejudice, the filing in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said. No further information was available.
McCarthy, who said she bought CBD oil, sued in December. She alleged that the packaging of Charlotte’s Web CBD oils, CBD liquid capsules, and other items says that the products are dietary supplements.
